Athletics

Commitment to the physical development and well-being of our students is a priority at St. Anne Catholic School. This is part of a larger philosophy of educating the whole child; mind, body and spirit. We go beyond the minimum twenty minutes of Daily Physical Activity required by the Ontario Ministry of Education, to provide students with opportunities to develop their talents, learn teamwork and show pride in being a St. Anne Angel!

Intramural Sports

Staff volunteer to organize a variety of sports during the lunch hour. Students form teams and compete in handball, soccer, volleyball, and basketball.

Interschool Sports

A special group of St. Raphael School teachers and parents give their time to coach our many competitive boys', girls', and coed sports teams. We have excellent volleyball, basketball, floor hockey, badminton, soccer, hockey and track & field teams, all of which have done our school proud at tournaments in the Sudbury area.

Special Events

Students who are not part of sports teams still have a chance to participate in physical activities with their peers. Play Days, Jump Rope for Heart, Swimming Lessons, and Winter Carnival (i.e. skating, skiing, sliding) all offer opportunities to get fit while having fun.

Thank you to the staff members and parents who give their time to make all of this possible!
