Grade 6 / 7 French Immersion students featured at Aboriginal Art Show.

June 8, 2009 - Grade 6/7 FI students studied both the artistic elements and principles of design of the many works of Leland Bell. In particular, the use of line, colour and shapes, such as the importance of a circle which is in all of his work. With Mr. Guenette’s guidance, students practiced creating these elements through various activities. The culminating task was to re-create the Stations of the Cross. During Religion class with Mrs. Stirrett, students studied each of the stations, reading scripture related to the station and reflecting on their own station. Students then applied their understanding of Jesus’ final journey to their own lives today. Both Mr. Guenette and Mrs. Stirrett are very proud of the work the students did to create a wonderful keepsake for years to come! Station 1 - Emilie, Victoria M.
